    Any Other Relevant Info :
This ground frame has been out of use for many years, as can be seen from the photographs.

MCR had given permission to the Churnet Valley Rly (CVR) to recover it for refurbishment at Cheddleton, and subsequent future use on either CVR or MCR lines. It was stolen less than a week before it was due to be recovered legitimately.

There are certain identifying features that link this eqpt with Caldon Low Sidings.

This theft is yet another setback for the CVR which has been plagued by thefts over recent months. However, unlike many previous incidents which were clearly scrap metal theft, there is evidence this time to suggest this eqpt is not destined for the melting pot.

As the CVR has recently had all of it’s Standard frame parts stolen, it became more important to recover the one from Caldon Low.

Any information leading to the recovery of this item, will be gratefully received.
