I'm really looking forward to a narrow boating holiday in a couple of weeks on the Grand Union. We're starting from Stockton Locks near Leamington and heading for the Leicester branch taking in the Braunston and Crick Tunnels.

Just wondering if anybody can reccomend a good book about the history of the canal - nothing too specialist with a few pictures in!

    Thanks in advance.

I expect you already know about the Nicholsons guides to the Waterways. The South East and Midlands Guides cover from Birmingham to London.A little bit of history and maps on each page. Colin.
