Slightly adrift on some of the BR/NS renumberings and names I'm afraid...

27000 Electra became NS1502 and is preserved in nominal working order (less the 1500v DC required) at Midland Railway, Butterley in original BR black livery

27001 Ariadne became NS1505. Donated to the Museum of Science & industry in Manchester and still there in NS livery

    27002 Aurora became NS1506 - cut up

27003 Diana became NS1501 and is preserved in working order by a group of NS railwaymen in Holland, currently in NS livery

27004 Juno became NS1503 - cut up, bogies owned by the EM2 locomotive society at Butterley

27005 Minerva - broken up by the NS for spares when rest of class rebuilt. No NS number

    27006 Pandora became NS1504 - cut up

    Ian,

Which loco are the bogies at Middleton from?

I asked Charlie Petty this question a while ago but he seemed oddly disinclined to reply.

Feel free to be disinclined to reply yourself...

They actually moved to Swanwick before the major rebuilding at Middleton a couple of years ago - they are ex-27004 Juno/NS1503 as above. They could do with a tidy up and paint if anyone feels the urge...

Or you could build a replica of LMS 10000/10001 on top of them... ;-)
