You are completely correct sir, it is indeed 712. And i would expect somemore visitors, its been a while since a Boness convoy came out to play so hopefully it could come from there.

ELRDG website updated 19/06/17 does not list the Class 25 as attending, the rest as above.

Should be a great gala. I do hope that the ELR don't change their tradition of being a heritage-only railway. So many have gone down the road of hiring in loads of modern stuff and it was nice that the Lancs was a little different.

ELR DG is an mainly good unofficial web site but sometimes has things wrong , the official ELR website has D7629 as attending, and this was confirmed by excellent sources on the 'other side'.

Echos my feelings, I can go to the mainline to see the Class 60 if I want to, however, if haulage is what you are after it's going to have to be this way unless it's a railtour. Looking forward to the event as usual, nice to see the Class 25 is confirmed.

TBF mainline visitors at the ESR gala is hardly a new thing though is it, Freightliner 47/57 & 66, DRS 37's and 20's and various 47's have been played the part in many galas in the past, and you just have to look at the SVR gala and how busy that was to see the demand is there for them, I stopped going on Railtours about 5 years ago now after the fares just got stupid daft and on certain companies trains you could never guarantee that what you booked on would resemble the train on the day, let alone the 4 am 200 mile drives to get on them, nope I think it's a very positive thing to have the newer things (let's not forget the 60's are 25ish years old now) running along side the older locos
