    DRS have a number of surplus Locomotives and MKII Coaches available for sale and are inviting offers for the purchase of these vehicles.

    The following vehicles are being offered for sale:

    1 x Class 20 Locomotive

    6 x Class 37 Locomotives

    5 x Class 47 Locomotives

    2 x MKII Coaches

    Prospective purchasers can submit bids for any of the above vehicles by completing ITT Ref E03921, please see PDF below.

    The closing date for the ITT is 12:00, 5th February 2016. "

    Who was it bought tw0 EE Type 3's that were kept at the CVR for refurbishment at Derby recently? Are they now kicking themselves I wonder?

    37/4s have ETH which DRS have a use for (Cumbrian and Anglian trains) whereas the other 37 types don't have a ETH

    The way Colas have been snapping up class 37's recently I can see these going for top money regardless of condition.

    Since Colas won the Network Rail test train contract from DB Schenker last year they seem to prefer to use their own locos rather than hire in DRS 37s as DBS did. NR test trains seemed to be the bread and butter job for 37/6s.
