I hear on the grapevine that 46100 probably won't be ready in time for Saturday's trip, so Braunton is standing in. The "Dates" page on the Steam Dreams web site appears to confirm this. No times available yet, as far as I can see.

And 34070 this year as well. 34007 and 34067 in recent history as well.

The reason for the switch to Victoria is down to engineering work/pathing out of Paddington, hopefully it will be a good day out!

Plenty of Bullied Pacific's have worked on the WSR over the years.

    34007 Wadebridge
    34016 Bodmin
    34027 Taw Valley
    34028 Eddystone
    34039 Boscastle
    34046 Braunton
    34067 Tangmere
    34070 Manston
    34105 Swanage
    35005 Canadian Pacific

Sir KeithPark was also resident in unrestored condition.

For all things WSR information can be found on the excellent wsr.org web site. See http://www.wsr.org.uk/r-locos.htm for a complete list of all steam/diesel/DMU locomotives that have operated on the WSR in the preservation era. The total runs to something like 450 vehicles, a figure that is unlikely to have been matched by any other heritage railway. The steam locomotives alone number about 145, it would be interesting if any others can beat this number, perhaps SVR.

    Any suggestions?

    Andy.

A member of the Diesel and Electric Preservation Group at Williton has told me that both locos, top 'n tail I presume, will detach at Williton. Raveningham Hall is due to haul the train to Minehead with a class 33 diesel at the rear.

Don't shoot the messenger. The situation could change. :) <BJ>

I think he means 34046, POB and the 47 detach at Norton (not Williton) and replaced by 6960 and D6575.

All lines are now reopened as of around 0710 and so the stock can now makes its way to Victoria but the tour is going to be seriously late. Need updates guys. Was hoping to see it at Twyford or Reading.

According to RTT, stock arrived Victoria about an hour late. Maybe no bad thing, bit of fog, about may get a chance to clear.

I would suspect they will shift the schedule back by one hour.

Would the swap still take place at Norton?

Why replace the 47? And attach 33. Surely the 47 could've gone to minehead with train and braunton remain at BL for servicing

I'd replace the 47 like a shot, when it passed me at Savernake it had square wheels, making a shocking noise it were.

Was approaching J12 M4 (Theale) when it passed under. Not pre-planned honest!
In the fog I couldn't see the loco.

Probably because the WCRC 47 driver(s) may not have the hours available to go all the way to Minehead and back...
