I hope you get the same amount of publicity Tornado did when you steam her. You deserve it!

I hope I live to see her in Brighton Umber... And I don't mind if the cab is a bit wrong for the livery.

I think it will look superb in all three liveries it can be given, Brighton umber brown, Southern green and BR lined black. On the Southern, I always preferred the pre war style, with the large numbers on the tender to the later, Malachite green with the sunshine lettering personally

Personally, I'm quite attached to the current cab, bearing in mind that I sponsored the odd bit of it :)

That said, I'd like to see her in Umber, but can wait to see it done properly - i.e. with a revised cab, dome, chimney etc. I can see following a similar policy to the A1 Trust, but in reverse, and going through livery variations in reverse order, ending up at umber - but it may take a couple of periods in traffic to get back that far.

Don't forget that with photoshop style software, anyone can put any livery they like on any loco. I don't know how to but, I look forward to seeing a 1950's photo of an Atlantic, in NSE, Porterbrook, Rail Blue, etc.............

BR Black with Blood and Custards behind the tender for me please! I don't know what it is about BR Carmine and Cream but it does seem to go with just about anything.

Try it again - works for me. That server sometimes has a "funny five minutes"; I believe a new web host is in the offing.

Won't carmine and cream Mk1s look a bit odd behind an Edwardian Atlantic in Marsh Umber?

Although less so behind the loco in lined black as 32424..... or Maunsell stock, in green as 2424.... giving time to sort out some proper Brighton kit (one way or t'other!). Wouldn't look too shabby with the Pullman set in tow either, come to think of it.... and not as odd as 82045 would look with a rake of Billinton or Panter stock in umber! :)

As I understand it, Beachy Head will be turned out in original condition as 424, with no plans for converting it to the later Maunsell-cab form...

It's quite clearly going to be 32424 in BR mixed traffic black livery.

Aside from the bit on the Bluebell site confirming this, it's also been painted in this livery.

The cab is also the later form as far as I'm aware - not sure where you got your info from, but it's unlikely to ever be an Umber machine.

Didn't they put out a press release saying there'd been a change of direction and it would be in original form?
