Any idea if the Q will be put into SR black at any point? Also how is OP4 doing?

Just seen a picture on Facebook of 1054 at Sheffield Park, facing North (from what I could tell anyway...)

There was something of a break on OP4 because the Infrastructure team were very heavily involved over the winter with track renewal work - that has to take priority during the brief windows either side of Christmas when no trains are running. However, my understanding is that work on drainage and other works for the site has resumed and I believe the objective is that track will be laid and vehicles undercover before next winter.

Will the Coal Tank be staying on after the event to work some regular trains or is it going straight back to the KWVR?

Definitely is facing north (was in the shed this morning).

I'm not aware of any scheduled passenger workings apart from the gala.

Thanks, I'll aim to be down both days then to get it, in addition to that SECR quadruple header on Sunday evening!

There's also a planned arrangement of the four in-traffic SECR engines for photos with hopefully also the O1 present but not in steam, at Sheffield Park on Saturday evening.

That will presumably be at around 18:15, following the arrival of 263 at 17:52?

Slightly later I think as 263 has a shunt to do first - probably somewhere after 18.30.

Yes, just found that out today. I'm still trying to get my head round the branch line timetable <eek/> I think the easiest way to imagine it is that early and late there are normal SP - EG services, but in the middle there are separate SP - HK and HK - EG services, connecting in the middle. I think there is going to be a lot of action focused on HK during the middle of the day.
