Audley End Railway - Lord Braybrooke's Steam Gala - Sunday 21st September

    Can't see anything on their website, but this Sunday is the Steam Gala at Audley End Miniature Railway near Saffron Walden, Essex.

    Trains running from 11:00 to 16:45

    It is indeed, although the 50th anniversary celebration weekend was earlier in the year.

    Sadly I won't make the gala on Sunday due to other commitments, but will be going on Saturday afternoon as my son is having his birthday party there :)

    I am led to believe that all available locos will be in steam for the gala tomorrow ('Lord Braybrooke', 'Sarah Lucy', 'Barbara Curwen', Atlantic and visitor 'Royal Scot'). No 24 'Bruce' is currently under overhaul. Suspect the diesels 'Henrietta Jane' & 'Doris' will be around too at some point, and the model engineers are expected to have a variety of stuff running on their 5"/7.25" line.

    We had a lot of fun there today with only 'Sarah Lucy' in steam :) Sad to miss the gala, but other duties call…
