A question: given that a yellow warning panel is apparently not mandatory any more due to the lighting arrangements on modern vehicles, what would be required to allow a 'Deltic' to run upon a main line in all-green livery?

some high intensity LED light clusters in the inverted triangle layout, that would probably jar a whole lot more on a green fronted Deltic than on a yellow one! I think we have to be content with the (very) occasional repaints that adorn the locos for preserved line use. I think the last time was Alycidon in c. 2004
