#19 seems to be very lightly rostered for main line work this year, any reasons for this? or is it just a sign of the slowdown in the leisure market?.

Read in a recent mag that other A4's are "less expensive" to hire, hence the lack of work.

Shame i suppose, but market forces are dictating the issue.

I was told that the ML hire fees were rather high for 60019 and put promoters off. Whether this is true I don't know. But she is required for a fair bit of use on the MHR this year especially now that 73096 is out of action. She is also due to go to Swange in the Autumn in exchange for 34070 Manston to appear in the Swanage gala if the info. in the latest Railway Mag is confirmed yet.

Was told the same while on the Swanage on Sunday. Hadn't heard about the exchange deal involving 60019 though.
