Absolutely stunning. I really hope that 34081 has an impact with the way it has been turned out.

Sorry, I don't get what you mean by that. Do you mean that it's superb finish should be emulated by other loco restorations (such as 7903 Foremarke Hall for example-which is beautifully finished)? In which case I'd agree!

My hope also. Preferably at the ELR, on grounds of laziness on my part.

Ian and Co. First off, well done she looks great. I notice the Automatic brake valve and air lines on the rear of the tender. Has 92 been fitted with an air pump or is she just though piped to run the NVR air stock?

We kitted her out back in 1998 with the equipment she needed to be able to operate the NVR Santas in conjunction with their Class 14. They run t&t so the 14 provides the air and controls the brake when leading but when 34081 is leading, she controls the brake with the 14 providing the air. No need for an air pump that way.

    How about this.
I took out boiler cover with British Gas today through easyfundraising and I raised £20 for my chosen cause which is the BBLS!
So easy. I urge everyone to sign up with easyfundraising and support your chosen cause which might also be the BBLS.
I certainly got a buzz knowing I'd raised £20 for 34081 just because of a few clicks with the mouse.

Easyfundraising is an easy way of raising money for a good cause so well done with your £20. Bought a new lens for my camera on Black Friday and as well as getting to for the cheapest price I could find. BBLS ended up with another £9.50. So far we've received £1500 by this method.

Lovely pics of '81. Great to see a malachite Spam-can again. Good luck with the snagging and the inspections. Can't wait to see her in action. I notice several pictures of her on the NVR Special Events page: http://www.nvr.org.uk/events/2017-special-events. Should I pencil in a trip to the Winter Steam Gala on 25th-26th Feb?

I'm sure there will be invitations to 1967 commemoration events on former SR metals, if you are keen to do something like that. She'll look right at home on-shed at Ropley, Swanage or Sheffield Park.

The NVR Winter Gala will feature 34081 with 34053 visiting from the SVR so a mini Bulleid Bonanza. :)

Yes. An epic fail on the part of autocorrect. I should have learnt by now. ;)

I know how to spell Bulleid but my laptop's autocorrect doesn't.

Of all the Bulleid Pacifics still around the country, 34081 is the only one that eluded me when it was in BR service, mainly because of its life in Kent and the West Country, so seldom a visitor to Waterloo. 2017 is when I plan to put that right!
