Any news about the Windsor trip? I gather it was a bit late leaving Victoria, lost more time during the outward run and then went straight back to Southall ECS. I see uksteam.info says "70013 failed. Return to Victoria cancelled." Any idea what was the matter with Ollie? Let's hope it's fairly easy to fix and that she'll be ready in time for the Cardiff and Norwich trips.

Two shots from me at Sandling. A very disappointing chase for me personally - turned at Eynsford viaduct, set everything up apart from the stills camera... as I was getting the stills camera out the bag, 70013 turned up out of nowhere and I had no chance to get even the video running. My feet are still soaked from the fields at Hollingbourne which were flooded and at Martin Mill, my video camera decided to have a fit and not record.

Fingers crossed there aren't too many repairs required.

Couple of cracking shots there James to make up for your earlier troubles, was nice to meet you both at Martin Mill & Sandling, hope I don't detract too much from your second shot! Nice to meet Authentic Aspects Will as well at Weavering. Photos and video from Kemsing, Weavering, Martin Mill and Sandling...

Read some comments on YouTube which suggest that 70013 suffered bearing problems on the middle set of driving wheels. Don't know how reliable this info is but on some videos a loud knocking sound can be heard when the Brit was being dragged by the Class 37. Fingers crossed she can be sorted for her final trips.

Been watching TH Railway videos clips of yesterday. The 'clanking' from a bearing is audible as 70013 drifts into Victoria and is towed out, and being towed later.

    They also have this comment:

However it became clear that the loud clanking sound coming from the Brit did not give promising signs and it was later heard the loco failed at Acton with bearing issues in the middle driving wheels, with the return run being cancelled the has sealed the fate of Ollies mainline ticket as it was also announced it has now been withdrawn from her final 3 runs, a rather sad shame to end her mainline career but otherwise with crossed fingers the 5305LA guys can be able to fix this issue to let her swing into life for 3 more times

    Anyone heard anything???
