Seems an unusual choice when the 8F should be available.

Surprised there's an area where an 8F protrudes more than a Scot.

The weather has a history of moving the track down the Conway Valley.

The quality of last year's trip means that anything else would have been an anticlimax. So should 46115 do it again, then it will just prove that it is a hill climber par excellence, having conquered Druimuachdair, Slochd, Beattock, Shap and Ais Gill in its time.

I feel privileged to have done Ffestiniog with 'Guardsman', and as such, I wish everyone the best of luck for a successful climb this time around.

Scots Guardsman making a noise which I will remember for a long time between Betws-y-coed and Pont-y-pant (near Pont Gethin). A very rewarding sight and sound after a treck down a very overgrown footpath (with the scratches to show for it).

I rest my case. A year on from my own run up to Blaenau, 46115 continues to do rather well when there's a hill, although I'm sure it would have been a different story in the rain. Seems to have been equally good driving. Sad to see it go, but I'll be surprised if its away for too long.
