Anyone have any ideas as the 2 aircraft grounded at Long Marston Drag Strip.
One is a 2 engine Jet on top of an earth bank looks a bit 40s - 50s to me
The other seems like a Shackleton slowly getting buried by the vegetation.

A Meteor T7 was dumped there so that would fit your description of a "40s - 50s twin engine jet" and there is also a Shackleton dumped there.

There is a Meteor, I think is was an T7 ( see above post!) also the Shackleton MR3 and somewhere, a Perceval Sea Prince. All must now be considered to be under threat from the new housing development, but apparently the owner of the Shack has plans to move it ... Or what is left of it.

Will be interesting to see what happens, they've been there a long time.
