Looking at the times posted on Real time trains, it would appear that the Duchess is making an appearance - L.E. movement from Carnforth to Hellifield, via Preston and Blackburn ( gauging issues on the Morecambe line - as i was informed on the grapevine yesterday at Shap) and a L.E.return to Crewe in the evening

UK steam has 46115 down for this and some speculation has been circulating that it is a final outing before withdrawal. Maybe yesterday was?

RTC originally stated 70013, then 46115 for a short period before it changed to 46233.

Nice long day for those joining in East Anglia.
0610 to 0039 from Norwich is not quite the longest "day trip" I have been on, but runs it close.
Glad I did not choose this one to steward on, my colleagues have my sympathy.

Sounds like a normal day trip from Norwich to me. NENTA run trips several times a year using these sort of start/finish times. They are usually full and do not have a steam component either.

Mrs W and I took our 2 year old grandson to see 46233 and POB through Pleasington (5E). Thanks to the driver for the wave and "toot toot".

Chicken, gravy, carrots and mash for him; beans on toast for us - no bacon on the immediate horizon!

We have had the lot today, Royalty, sun, rain, thunder and lightning, ravenous midges and leaking drain cocks.

    And another spell check.
Fetus is an unborn American child, whereas in England it's a foetus. ;)
