LMS 45036 Inspection Saloon at Chinnor Princes Risborough Ry,
was noted yesterday 16/11/2013 as an underframe only.
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, so if a repeat, sorry!

Also a new photo on the 813 web site of GWR Siphon 2988 at The Dean Forest Ry. and a couple of old newsletters uploaded, they are scanned so the quality is not brilliant yet...working on improvements!
Hope to update news on GWR 813 Locomotive progress.
    Many thanks,
    Nick
    813 Fund.

The VCT survey site states: "Gutted by fire 07/12 - arson suspected. to be scrapped on site in near future."
In the header it is actually shown as "(SCRAPPED)" so I suppose finding the underframe intact counts as a positive thing.
As these are shortish vehicles presumably the underframe would be quite suitable for something else, assuming of course that it didn't get twisted in the fire; is it being offered around groups who are into re-wheeling grounded bodies?

This vehicle featured in the 'for sale' thread late last year, the new owner has FB page https://www.facebook.com/inspectionsaloon45036/

I noticed a post tonight: "Am currently looking for a home for her at the moment."

Please - this isn't a lead in to grief for the owner, just a genuine attempt to update the story,

    Patrick

The destination announced is the Tanat Valley Light Railway at Nant Mawr, near Oswestry.

I wish them all well (not ironic)

I think you might be well advised to seek out the proper drawings rather than rely on postings here. You will also be making a lot of postings if you are going to ask for every dimension on your project.

Write to the NRM, cost £20.00 for drawings or go measure a restored one.
I think the curve is called a tumble home .....will be corrected if I am wrong!
Are you going to rebuild it back to an Obs?

If you can provide evidence you have resources to do this, then yes you can.

I think he means have you got access to woodworking machinery plus access to somebody who knows how to produce the body framing.
Have you priced the hardwood that is required to build the body ?
I foresee a great future for this underframe as a flatdeck.

    Bob.

Remember you will need other people to help you otherwise you will take more than your lifetime to do a good job of rebuilding the coach single handed.
