2016 December - Talyllyn's Santa Specials

Discussion in 'On Track.' started by Karen Willans, Dec 20, 2016.

Over the weekend of 17/18 December we ran our first Santa Special Trains

The weekend started with festive cheer up at Abergynolwyn with our annual Carol Train. Around 100 people travelled up to a beautifully lit Abergynolwyn Station to enjoy carols, mulled wine and mince pies.

On Saturday and Sunday we ran our first Santa Specials. No 2 Dolgoch and No 7 Tom Rolt topped and tailed the train, which travelled up to Plas Nadolig to see Santa.

Up at Plas Nadolig, the children met Santa and his Elves. They were also treated to Elsa singing, a snow machine and footplate tours/photos. Santa's glamorous assistants handed out warm mince pies, cookies, hot mulled wine and juice.

Our next Santa Trains are running on 23 and 24 December. Please visit our Santa Specials page for further details and current availablility - http://talyllyn.co.uk/santa

If you fancy a bit of fresh Welsh air and to stretch your legs in glorious Cader Country after Christmas, come and join us on our Mince Pie Specials. They are running from Boxing Day to 2 January.

Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to make the Talyllyn Railway look so festive!
