The overhaul of unique Caledonian Railway ‘439’ class 0-4-4T No. 419 has taken a major step forward, following the re-wheeling of the locomotive on Aug 3.

Based at the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, the Scottish Railway Preservation Society locomotive has been under overhaul since it was withdrawn from traffic in 2009 when its boiler ticket expired.
