Swanage based M7 30053 is confirmed as visiting the Kent & East Sussex Railway during May. The loco will be available for the 40s Weekend on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th and the Southern Steam Sunset weekend 23rd, 24th and 25th May. The Southern Steam Sunset event will also feature USA tank No 65 and Terriers 32670 and 32678. Some services on this weekend will run to Junction Road. Timetables and more information to follow.

Fantastic! I move back to East Sussex at the beginning of April, so I'll be just in time for this. Never travelled on the Junction Road bit yet. I shall be looking out for more details.

As you may have seen on the Southern Steam Sunset thread, 30053 is here and will be in traffic at this weekend's 1940s event. The standard gold timetable will be operating with 30053 hauling a Southern Region liveried set of Mk 1 stock.

    Pete,

Is there any chance that the May loco roster cold be updated on the website? Are you using 30053 on other occasipons besides the 40s event and the Southern Steam Sunset weekend?

    Thanks

Hi John, I'll ask the loco manager to update his page. I suspect he's been awaiting the result of yesterdays test run with the M7 before updating. At the moment the M7 is only scheduled to run at the two events, however, if we need to use it for any extra days we do have the option.

Might see you, rostered at Rolvenden, but might not be needed. (Standby point-winding)
