Thanks very much for the replies. It really is early days with this project and nothing like this has been done before in Italy. The line in question was abandoned years ago and there are now discussions underway about reusing parts to gain...

If you are wanting a distance to work to I would go for 1000mm from the side of the coach to the fence line on the side of the cycleway. On the opposite side you could come down to about 750mm as that should give adequate clearance against...

This truly is a 'how long is a piece of string?' question. Say you cut your trackbed in half: one side has a cycle way/ footpath and the other half is your line. This format has precedent - UK 15" gauge lines like BVR, which runs on half of a...

I guess we will find out on 11th May! The board has imposed a 150-word limit for candidate statements to be sent to members in the AGM pack. Feeling that this was insufficient to fully describe the individual candidates, Exmoor Associates asked...

Yes I understand about the air braking and not so Harry Potter style, it just seems strange the reasoning as to why they would protest so much and spend on other items when a solution was already in hand.

Sorry, I am now totally confused. WCR now has coaching stock with CDL ready to restart the operation converted from it's existing fleet. If we are to believe the issues about supply and lead times, either they were working on this before the...
