The farm at Garthydwr is a great location, and you can get shots pretty much most of the day around there. The farmer does indeed charge £2 to permit you to go your land. You can also park in the field as well for no extra charge, so saves on the walk down from the A5.

    Map here

The farmhouse is where the yellow road leading from the A5 becomes a pink dashed bridleway.

He has been known to try to charge people for using the bridleway - don't be fooled into paying him.

I have known people to drive right down the lane and onto the bridleway which is a damned nuisance and might be illegal anyway. The £2 charge for car parking and access to their land isn't a lot, is it?

    Regards

I was thinking more of people walking - £2 to park is not excessive.

Almost 2 years has passed since the last post on parking in the Farmers field for £2. Does anyone know if this 'facility' is still available, particularly for the upcoming SSS event? Thanks in anticipation for current info :Bookworm:

I'm going to guess this might not be the case now. 'Piersons' farm at Garth y Dwr was sold a couple of years ago, and the new owners keep horses in the fields previously used for parking.
