Hardly surprising they don't engage on here when even moderators are making inflammatory comments such as this about them without any apparent evidence...

As for sharing of advice who knows what is discussed behind closed doors, they have a very close relationships with IR forged over many years, they have been maintaining Tangmere for many years and also are very close to Mr Bunch who I suspect knows a fair bit about Bullieds, just because its not discussed on here doesn't mean its not happening.
As @26D_M rightly points out there are a number of sources for a replacement in the short term so hopefully something can be sorted sharpish and get her back where she belongs...

Do we know that for fact or is it just idle rumour? Carnforth isn’t best known for releasing such details.

It certainly did not come from an official source to me but I have heard it twice independently from previously reliable avenues.
I will gladly stand corrected if the information proves false.

What's the betting that, after all the above, it's because the indicators aren't working?

If we have heard about it on here, I would suggest that ‘sharpish’ is already well past and a replacement sourced and may be on its way to being fitted, or some other scenario...what do we know ?

I met a man down the pub who knows someone whose heard........ etc. It's easier to to get details of North Korea's nuclear programme than get anything out of Carnforth so I doubt it

As I mentioned I have no knowledge of what if any progress has been made towards a solution based on the apparent problem. I did hear of one rumoured proposal to effect a 'transplant' but it would be unwise of me to divulge, being unverified and potentially sensitive information as it concerned some connected but unrelated activities.
My supposition would be that efforts will be focussed on 46115 as a priority then turn back to 35018 once the Scot is back because the latter is apparently wanted back in traffic this summer. Obviously that plan would have been predicated on 35018 being signed off fit, hence my guesswork.

You just can't resist commenting can you? Even though you profess to be bored by or dislike my every utterance. If you only want to hear agreeable things I suggest you seek an echo chamber out .....
Its a chat forum just like the snug at a local pub, a few folk chewing the fat about unimportant but mutually interesting topics.

I have not been past at slow speed in daylight recently, there was at one stage (shortly after 46115 came out of service) a boiler that looked recently removed outside the north end of the shed at the southern end of the site where the steam work seems to be done is it still there and is it Stanier or Bulleid (Bodmin/Tangmere???) in nature?

I can't resist commenting on a chat forum? Is that your point?

There was nothing disagreeable about what you posted, but you did resurrect this thread with information that took it on a path of unsubstantiated gossip. Nothing wrong with that per se, as you rightly point out, but not every one may see eye-to-eye on the value of gossip.

No, you are unable to resist disecting my comments specifically in particular. Its rather tedious but if it occupies your time so what.
Neither did I resurrect the thread, @60017 did. I answered his question with some information I had been told. Its a function of the chat forum and I caveat everything.
What is your specific interest in what I post?

It was mentioned in one of the threads that the boiler of 46115 was lited very soon after its final run and that a new middle pot is being fitted, all of which in support of a targetted mid 2018 return.

Exactly how far are you willing to blow this up? Im sure it is enthralling.

I don't agree with some of your content. Sometimes, I choose to express that. Not much more complicated than that. My last post could be construed that way too. I don't think I need to say it again in a different way - that would be tedious.

Well perhaps I may be a little over sensitive but my perception is that almost without exception you choose to make comment on my posts, less about the opinion ventured but specifically drawing attention to what you seem to think is my motive. I post infrequently and in comparatively few threads yet you turn up to have a little dig or two, relentlessly it seems. Either we have common interests or you feel compelled to call me out regardless. I am happy to debate opinions but the personalised stuff we can do without, I think?
You will not find any personalised remarks across my NP content by the way, before you start any tit for tat nonsense.
