I see the times have appeared for these on Uk Steam now. Looks like a slightly earlier departure from Carlisle compared to the Dalesman runs.

There is the Northern strike over the first weekend, and from what I can tell, there will be no service trains over the S&C. http://www.settle-carlisle.co.uk/industrial-action/

It says "Diesel at rear ?" on Uk Steam, so I guess it'll be a case of seeing what happens on the day with that. Fire risk seems a distant memory with the amount of rain there has been the last month, but maybe York has had less than Cumbria?

York's had a fair bit, but the soil has been baked over the past two months, so it probably hasn't absorbed as much moisture as during winter. However, as I'll be down south this weekend for obvious reasons, I can only offer those doing 60103 my best wishes!

"Diesel at rear ?" may well refer to shunting/turning requirements at Carlisle. As we have seen in the past, sometimes it's possible to do this without a DL, on other occasions a second loco is needed. This varies week-to-week and can depend on things like diversions from other routes due to engineering, etc.

Dalesman manages without a diesel at Carlisle in a 2hr 16 minutes turn round.

What's the loading? IIRC the NRM allowed extra vehicles to be added to the train when 60103 was doing this service via Low Fell in both directions, but the S&C is a different matter...

60103 plus 11 today. No diesel. On time, more or less, at Newlay.

It seems as if RTT is not working at the moment but Open Train Times is.

I have a feeling the times are blocked from view on purpose . Something to do with Network rail and trespassing incidents in the past .
