Are logs of those two runs available? I was on both, having decided how sorry I would be if I only booked one, something went wrong with that one and the other was perfect. In the event, of course, both were excellent.

Very detailed logs are in SR429, including 5029's 70m23s EXD to BTM. Not sure if attachment is readable.

And I think you may find that the sub 70 min log from GBX will be in HR at some point.

Spent the past week looking back at some of the legs of GBX and have revisited something that I thought was quick at the time and now realise was very quick. As it turned out it was a kind of entrée to the main high speed dash from Exeter to Bristol.

There was a pathing stop at Newton Abbot from which we were released early, presumably because the train that should have gone by was late. Perhaps Control had asked that we hurry along a bit but anyway we ran the 20 or so miles from Newton Abbot to St Davids, start to stop in 23 min 16 sec to include being pulled down to 30 mph at Exeter St Thomas. Service trains are booked about 20 min so we were quite nippy.

Yes next issue and the run with 5029 has also been in HR. This run for me was one of the best since 1967.
