If Pathfinder are using D9009 on their June tour then I'd hazard a guess that the answer is "yes."

Before getting too excited, I'd await an announcement from the organisers as to what exactly will be on the front from Penzance.

It's not a given, Pathfinder are using DRS quite a bit this year, and they sign Deltics, having done a couple of light engine moves.

I see. In 2012 D9009 and 60163 worked the Elizabethan. Who crewed that?

DB. DRS signing Deltics is a relatively new thing.

Some DRS men have signed deltics for years. What's changed is 55009 in now on the DRS safety case...

As June was 1015(therefore DBC train),55009 will be the same, one would assume.

And the engine hours on Alycidon are supposed to be very high as well.

The bookings are going well. <BJ>
''First Class Dining and Non Dining are virtually full and online bookings have closed. Please call the office to check if any seats remain.
You can still book Standard Class online''.

Don't let's digress too much but this is a trip that has particular enthusiast appeal yet Standard is less full than First Class and Dining. That fact is a hard one to ignore and only goes to show that operators are right in targeting the high end and dining market.

Indeed. Maybe food for thought for a few on this forum who have often and stridently maintained that "real steam enthusiasts" only travel in standard? Absolutely not the case in my experience!

But given the length of the trip, this enthusiast is doing it in first class, much of how I like to enjoy my tours nowadays ;-)

Well apart from The Tin Bath where standard class is at the front throughout

They could probably get away with just one standard class carriage these days. Every trip I do, I thank goodness that my enjoyment in standard is being cross-subsidised by the other classes. Equally, I'm glad I've done what I've achieved whilst the sun shone, so everything else is a bonus. Have just entered my third decade, so in reflective mood...

Any idea for the load? It states a limited number - I'm thinking 8 + support? Surely 9+ support would be too many for the banks?
