That will take the pressure off the 25. Great news for the NYMR

I don't know what the situation is re the one engine running. I did hear (rumour only) that there was a leaking coolant problem with one of the engines BUT........it might only have been a bit of tittle tattle.

As the NYMR has (I think) one ETH fitted coach that's not going to be much of a handicap.

55.007 (aka 55.022) will be at the NYMR for their Scottish Gala next month. The statement below is from the NYMR website. <BJ>

''The East Coast Main line will be represented with 55007 Deltic visiting the NYMR and hauling a service along the Esk Valley line to Battersby''.

As the website info reads, the Saturday only service that runs on gala weekends to Battersby, will be run by 55007
What other services it will be rostered to will no doubt be published nearer the time.

No steam heat either on the loco, so ok for 6 months of the year.

The Wednesday move was postponed (Martin says Network Rail issues), it is now planned for tomorrow (Friday) but no times are available yet.

It's staying at Nene Valley for a while, driver experience days, a bit of service running etc. Martin Walker is very positive about the future of his locomotive.
