With Lizzie's return to traffic relatively not so far away
    A. A big congratulations to the society upon this milestone.
    B. Looking forward for tours to come.

A great new way of getting funds into Lizzie's electrical systems for the mainline.

Raising money thru this fundraiser where you can shop at major online stores amazon.co.uk for example. This is really the final push folks
Setting up an account with easyfundraisers is not difficult

I notice from pics from the recent open day that the air pump and any trace of air hosing are missing, have they just not be refitted yet or has Lizzie been converted back to Vac only ?.

Looking at the Steam Dreams web site, I see that 61306 is now rostered for two CathEx tours that Lizzie was previously pencilled in for (24th & 29th Sept.) I guess this means that the overhaul is taking a little longer than previously hoped. No great surprise - I hope it's nothing serious.

Lizzie has been invited to the Barrow Hill event on the same weekend. She was (as of Monday) down to haul day 4 of the Lakes Express, then presumably go straight to Barrow Hill.

    This from the Lizzie webpage

Progress Report 29 June 2015 The next stage of the current work programme must be the renewal of the locomotive’s TPWS and OTMR systems to ensure the future reliable operation of 6201 on the national railway network. Whilst being very costly, this work will be a wise investment in the locomotive’s commercial operating future. All donations to this programme to support 6201’s future will be very gratefully received!

This may or may/may not be new info depending on who reads it but the sooner this money is raised the better so Lizzie may have her test and first tours.

    Can this really be true,
i remember very well reading on these very pages of the massive conspiracy and underhanded tactics to get it
into outside storage at crewe heritage center never to steam again.
or was i smoking something strange that day.

If anyone is a member of Facebook the society has a new Facebook page. Whilst the Lizzie overhaul is complete they are still raising money to complete the wires for tpws and otmr systems. They are raising money through easyfundraisers.org.uk

Following her appearance at the recent Tyseley open day , will anyone care to give a realistic return date for 6201 following several speculative trips being presently advertised by certain tour operators.

I have a thread on page 1 steam traction. They need money for a brand new wiring system before they get her out for tours.

Apologies if this is already posted somewhere. Last post by the group was back in November on there website:
    Progress Report
12 November 2015 The current overhaul is on target to complete by December 2015. This is subject to loaded test runs with the Vehicle Acceptance Body, and if all goes according to our plan we look forward to the return to mainline operation in Spring 2016. So watch this space for further updates on Lizzie’s comeback!

No I do not currently volunteer
Can't wait to have the world's best looking pacific back on the mainline in her true colours. And no, I didn't mean to post on the Scotsman discussion.
