On a similar topic, spotted a red tender heading south on the M6 near Cannock on Saturday - from Olton Hall perhaps?

Sounds like it could be to do with the Harry Potter Studio Tour that 5972 is meant to be going on loan to. I think the yellow lining is quite bright on the carriages used in the films so sounds like at least one carriage is going to the studios as well.

Saw a BR Mk1 BG in Intercity livery on a low loader heading west today on the A50 near Uttoxeter. Any ideas what/where it was going?

Class 26 seen heading north on a lorry on the M6 at Thelwall about 6.30 this evening. I presume it was 26038 heading back to Bo'ness?

On the M74 today; all heading North as I was heading south, a MkI coach in Choc/Cream, couldn't tell which type (it was raining), followed by an FGW MkIII (they are regularly seen, presumably heading for Glasgow Works). Lastly and most oddly, a CIE liveried (Orange/Black) coach, either a MkII type or even a Cravens built one.
Anyone got any more info on the first and last mentioned?
    Appreciate any info, thanks :)

I thought the MkIIIs are heading for Kilmarnock where the old Barclays (now Wabtec) workshops are undertaking coach work as with the recent works on the ScR Class 334 units.

This has happened before. The O&K Irish Sugar locos on the DCDR were bought from service by an English enthusiast without realising the gauge difference. He was somewhat surprised when told that they could not run on the mainland without some major adjustments!

Is it to provide a donor underframe as so many have before, or is it hoped to run in its own right?

    Hello,
The 813 Funds 'container' which has been holidaying on the WSR for some time is due on the SVR.
    The container will be rebuilt!
Was described by some as Kindling and many were happy to see it leave the WSR.
May be a change of heart when rebuilt and repainted.
Will upload a photo later today and add details.
One less on the Dunster Linear scrapyard.
Like all of the Funds vehicles funding is available .....

    Hello,
The container is a GWR BD Container 2276.
The VCT Wagon survey is incorrect.
Transport is being sort to remove it from the WSR...it is in poor shape !
